Champaign County residents fight property assessments
URBANA – Wednesday was the first day that Champaign County residents could file complaints seeking to lower their 2009 real estate assessment.
And business was brisk.
By 4 p.m., 35 complaints had been received at the county board of review office, found in the southeast wing of the Brookens Administrative Center, 1776 E. Washington St.
