Man dies after being hit by vehicle on U.S. 150

DANVILLE – The Vermilion County sheriff's department is investigating a Friday night car-pedestrian accident that killed an Oakwood man.

Jody Wood, 24, was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m. on Friday at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center's emergency room, Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson said. He died of blunt-force trauma.
