Police: Rantoul robbery suspect took taxi to credit union
RANTOUL – Police are investigating the robbery of a Rantoul credit union that they said was held up Wednesday morning by one of two men who apparently took a taxi to the heist.
The taxi driver waited while one of the men entered Credit Union 1, 200 E. Champaign Ave., about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to police reports. When the man emerged, the taxi driver was asked to take the two to a nearby car dealership.
