Champaign council backs merchant shoveling
CHAMPAIGN – The city council has decided that voluntary snow shoveling by downtown and Campustown merchants isn't getting the job done.
At a study session Tuesday night, the council tentatively decided that it's time to require downtown and Campustown businesses to shovel the sidewalks in front of their businesses.
