Burger King on Prospect reopens after fire
CHAMPAIGN — The Burger King at 2110 N. Prospect Ave., C, has reopened.
The restaurant closed Tuesday afternoon following a fire.
East Central Illinois Burger King Director of Operations Richard Andrzejczyk credited fast work by emergency personnel for minimizing the damage from the fire and allowing the restaurant to reopen two days later.
“The management and team at our Prospect location would like to thank the prompt response of the police and fire department especially for quickly identifying and containing a fire that could have been devastating to our restaurant,” Andrzejczyk said in a written release.
Andrzejczyk also thanked restaurant manager Dave Armstrong for managing the evacuation of the restaurant the day of the fire.
