Came club plans best-in-show competition in February
URBANA – Amateur photographers should be gearing up now to enter the ninth annual Champaign County Camera Club Best in Show competition in late February at Lincoln Square Village.
There is an early bird deadline of Feb. 6 and a final deadline of Feb. 13. Entry forms are available online at www.champaigncountycameraclub.org and at competition sponsors, among them The News-Gazette, Illini Studio, the Urbana Park Dsitrict, Framer's Market and Busey Bank.
Entries may be hand-delivered or mailed to the Urbana Park District, Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W. Stoughton St., Urbana, IL 61801. Call 367-1544 for information.
The entry fee before noon Feb. 6 is $4 for the first print and $1 for each additional print. After Feb. 6, the fee is $9 for the first print and $1 for each additional one. There is no fee in the youth division. Each entrant can submit up to three prints. The contest is limited to residents of Champaign, Coles, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Iroquois, McLean, Moultrie, Piatt and Vermilion counties.
Categories are architecture, animals, people, nature, general, manipulated and youth division.
The show will be Feb. 20-28.
