Description:
Half-price admission for communities throughout Champaign County. June 1-Aug. 31. Visitors must provide proof of residence for: Mondays, Champaign; Tuesdays, Urbana; Wednesdays, Rantoul; Thursdays, Gifford, Fisher, and Mahomet; Fridays, all other Champaign County Communities. The museum collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets aviation and aerospace artifacts. Special emphasis to the life and accomplishments of Octave Chanute, Chanute Field/Chanute Air Force Base and its technical training programs, history of Illinois aviation and the community of Rantoul. Over 40 aircraft from past and present for viewing. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission $5-$10, children under 4 years free.For more information:
