Join these free back-to-nature experiences and help remove invasive plants, improve trails, plant native trees and flowers, and assist with general clean-up. This is a great way to learn more about local natural areas while providing some much needed assistance in their care. Please dress accordingly. Tools, gloves, instruction, and refreshments will be provided. Let us know you'll be attending by calling 384-4062 in advance. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Larger groups are welcome. May 23: 9 to 11 a.m. at Busey Woods and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Perkins Road Wet Prairie. June 6 and July 11: 9 to 11 a.m. at Busey Woods and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Weaver Park. June 20 and July 25: 9 to 11 a.m. at Meadowbrook Park and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Perkins Road Wet Prairie. For Busey Woods, meet at the Anita Purves Nature Center. 1 to 3 p.m. at Perkins Road Wet Prairie, meet at the Dog Park parking lot on Perkins Road 1/2 mile east of Cunningham Ave. For Meadowbrook Park, meet at the Race Street parking lot south of Windsor Road. For Weaver Park, pull of at the intersection of Main Street and Smith Road. For Perkins Road Wet Prairie, meet at the Dog Park parking lot on Perkins Road 1/2 mile east of Cunningham Ave.
