Evan Tammen, graduate oboe performance student at the U of I, along with string players involved in the Illinois Chamber Music Festival will present a free recital on Monday, July 6th, 2009 to benefit Cunningham Children's Home. This event is being sponsored by the Paxton United Methodist Church and Paxton United Methodist Women. The recital will be held at 7:30 PM at the Paxton UMC, 210 W. Center Street in Paxton, IL. An opportunity to contribute to a free will offering to benefit Cunningham will be provided. The recital will include pieces by Telemann, Mozart, Saint-Saens, and Rheinberger. On an annual basis, Cunningham Children's Home serves over 270 children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral disabilities. Cunningham is a mission and ministry of the United Methodist Women of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.
