Provena Covenant Medical Center sponsors free classes on pregnancy and baby care to help the whole family adjust to the "new arrival," weekdays, Aug. 28 through Sept. 30. For specific class dates and times, or to register, call toll free 1-866-776-8362, Childbirth Education Series: This class covers a wide range of labor and birth topics and is recommended during the sixth to eighth months of pregnancy. Sibling Classes: Children will tour the Family Maternity Center and learn how to be good helpers. This class is for children 2 years old and older. At least one parent must attend. Breastfeeding Education: This class teaches mom about all aspects of breastfeeding. A Father's Perspective: This class teaches new dads what to expect before, during, and after pregnancy, as well as the basics of baby care. Grandparents' Class: In this class, grandparents-to-be learn about new trends in child-rearing and how to assist parents and babies. Infant CPR: This class teaches basic infant safety tips as well as infant CPR. This is not a certification course.
