Happy (Early) Mother's Day Chambana

I've spent maybe an hour on the computer in the last two weeks. Usually I can't wait until naptime to get online and seek out some adult conversation, but we were out of town and are going through a readjustment period. That's mom code for my kid is disregarding naptime and completely melting down by two p.m. Normally, I spend that elusive naptime reading local blogs. I read anything and everything the Chambana blogosphere has to offer, but it's the "mommy blogs" I am most drawn to.

I listen to other local moms discuss tantrums in supermarkets and the desperate desire to have some time for themselves. Our paths converge in the books we read, the places we take our children, and a thousand other ways. It's nice to take a few minutes and wallow in someone else's toddler woes. I come out feeling refreshed and somehow lightened.
We really do enjoy an interesting mix of people in our orange and blue obsessed town. I turn on my computer and find that minutes from my house live women with perspectives that are incredibly varied and always interesting. Never would I have thought that I would gain menu inspiration from a vegan (no offense but I was raised a meat and potatoes girl). No one could have predicted that the biggest Chambana hater out there has turned out to be one of the funniest and most entertaining people I've ever had the pleasure of reading. The bookish townies, the ultra-fit overachievers, the sarcastic and music obsessed, the devout and the searching all come together in this amazing little town of ours. It's amazing to see how many different ways you can go about being a great mom.
Okay so I'm a little mom obsessed, but Mother's Day is approaching and I just thought I'd give a little nod to some of the Chambana moms I love to read.

Why thank you! I'm so glad SOMEONE finds me entertaining - my husband would beg to differ.
Happy mom's day to you, too!
