New daily TV grids

We've made some changes in our daily prime time television grids starting Saturday, Aug. 15, that we hope will make them more useful for you.

We've expanded the time covered in the grids by two hours to include programming from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. We also picked up once again the listings for PBS station WEIU in Charleston after requests from many readers, and we updated channel numbers for programming offered on Mediacom in Rantoul and other towns in Champaign County. We made the same changes to the grids in our TV This Week publication recently as well.

We dropped the Best Bets feature from the daily grids to make room for the expanded programming. Many readers told us they didn't find Best Bets to be useful.
